Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Random Tasks LLC handles information in connection with the website at randomtasks.co.
Scope
This policy covers randomtasks.co and the pages published on it. It does not cover the individual apps that Random Tasks LLC develops or publishes.
Each app carries its own privacy policy. That policy governs the product it is attached to, and it controls wherever it differs from this one.
Information We Collect
This site has no accounts, no sign in, and no forms. You can read every page without giving us anything.
Our hosting provider, Vercel, records standard server logs when a page is requested. Those logs can include your IP address, your browser type and version, the pages you requested, and the date and time of the request.
If you write to us, we receive your email address, the name you send it under, and whatever you put in the message.
Cookies and Tracking
This site sets no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies. It runs no analytics and no advertising pixels, and it embeds no third party trackers.
One page on this site stores a single value in your browser's local storage. That value records which homepage theme you last saw, so the next one differs. It is a short theme name, it stays on your device, it is never sent to us, and it identifies no one. Clearing your browser storage removes it.
If we add analytics later, we will update this policy and change the effective date at the top of this page before or at the time the analytics go live.
How We Use Information
We use server logs to operate the site, to keep it secure, and to investigate errors and abuse. We use email correspondence to answer you and to keep an ordinary business record of the exchange.
We do not build profiles, and we do not use this information for advertising.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- With service providers who operate parts of the site on our behalf, such as our hosting and email providers, and only to the extent they need it to do that work.
- When the law requires it, including a valid subpoena, court order, or other lawful request, and to establish or defend legal claims.
- With a counterparty in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case the information remains subject to this policy or a successor policy.
Data Retention
Hosting logs are held by our provider for a limited period under that provider's standard retention schedule and are then deleted.
Email correspondence is kept for as long as we need it to answer you and to maintain a business record, and is deleted when we no longer need it.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
Your Choices
You can read the site without sending us anything. You can control cookies through your browser, though this site sets none.
You can ask what correspondence we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hello@randomtasks.co. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, and we will honor those rights where they apply.
Changes
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Use of the site after an update means the updated policy applies.
